Pharmacy Specialty Residencies (PGY2)
Thursday November 26, 2009
The PGY2 residencies and fellowships are designed to develop and refine
clinical, research, and administrative skills within the area of the
specialty. Activities of each training program differ, but include
clinical rotations, seminar presentations,
preceptorship of Pharm.D. students, and completion of drug utilization
evaluations and research projects.
A competitive stipend is provided.
Each resident receives 10 vacation days, health insurance and
other University amenities. Business days are allotted for attending
the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting, the Great Lakes Residency Conference
and other professional meetings. Partial funding for attending
these meetings may be available through the Department of Pharmacy
Services.
Available PGY2 Residencies are listed below. All are ASHP accredited, with the Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy being in a pending status due to it being our newest PGY2 program addition. Brief program descriptions
can be found by clicking on the links below, and for more detailed descriptions
of the individual programs, feel free to contact the particular program director(s)
