Welcome
The University of Michigan Health System Department of Pharmacy
Services has great opportunities for pharmacists. Whether you've
been a pharmacist for a while in retail or hospital, or fresh out of
school - we'd like to talk with you.
What do pharmacists do?
We work hard to set up an environment where pharmacists can use the
skills they've learned to directly benefit patient care. Our new
patient focused care model gets you out of the pharmacy and working
directly with teams of physicians. There are great opportunities
for you to expand your knowledge in areas of internal medicine, surgery,
critical care, transplant, oncology, and much more.
How are the salary levels?
We try to offer competitive salaries. Higher salary options are available to pharmacists who have experience or special training. In addition to the salary, the benefits can't be
beat. Benefits include healthcare, dental, paid time off, and a 2
to 1 matching 401K program.

What are the hours?
We are a 24-hour a day, 7 day a week operation. Your work
location will largely determine the hours you work. There are
opportunities on all three shifts. Most pharmacists work every
third weekend.
Are there promotion opportunities?
As a large academic university system, we offer our pharmacists
opportunity to specialize in various clinical areas. Pharmacists
who develop expertise in clinical fields are encouraged and supported to
continue in their development.
